Three Sisters Waterfalls Trail is a 4.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Descanso, California. A cool scenic trail that moves through the hills and along the river. Hiking up and down along the river and some light scrambling over rocks and boulders. There are 3 waterfalls (3 sisters) in a line with swimming at the top and bottom falls. If the water level is high enough, the 3rd fall can be used as a  natural water slide for the adventurous. Or you can just take a quick refreshing dip in the water and kick back and relax in the scenic valley.

The trailhead is located a little of an hour outside of San Diego. It can  be quite hot throughout the day, so trips are limited to the spring season. It is the best time for weather and the water level for the falls and swimming.

Trips are only during the Spring and Fall when there is enough water for the falls. The trail is also closed during the summertime due to extreme heat.
